This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and browser storage that Fairform Labs, LLC (“we” or “us”) uses on the Alvia website and in the dashboard. It is part of the Privacy Policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Website
- No cookies of our own. Our hosting provider may set a cookie that protects the site from bots and attacks.
- Browser storage. The site saves your animation setting, your light or dark theme in the docs (it starts as light), your chosen code language and, in the API reference, its theme and code language. They stay in your browser until you clear them. The docs also keep the sidebar’s state in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
- Analytics. We count page views with analytics that use no cookies.
- Error reports. Each page tells our error-reporting service that it loaded, and sends an error report when it fails. These reports use no cookies and are set up not to store IP addresses.
Dashboard
- Sign-in cookie. Keeps you signed in, for up to 400 days or until you sign out. We set it using our sign-in provider’s software, and the provider’s sign-in pages set cookies of their own.
- Short-lived cookies. Used while you sign in and while a new organization is set up. They expire within 10 minutes.
- Session storage. Counts retries while the dashboard reconnects to the API. It is cleared when you close the tab.
- Error and performance reports. Each dashboard page tells our error-reporting service that it loaded, sends an error report when it fails and, for some page loads, sends performance timings. They use no cookies and are set up not to store IP addresses.
- Hosting. Our hosting provider may set a cookie that protects the dashboard from bots and attacks.
Your choices
The sign-in cookies are needed to use the dashboard. The rest remember your settings or keep the site working, and none of them tracks you. You can clear or block them in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you cannot sign in to the dashboard.
Changes
We will update this policy when we change the cookies or storage we use. Material changes follow the notice period in the Privacy Policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: privacy@alvia.ai.
